About Logement De Craecke

Logement De Craecke is situated on the Oudestraat 13 with one of the best views on the historic market area and the town hall of Veere. The original building which was called De Craecke was torn down in 1832. Later several building have stood in its place, until the present building was build in 1969 in the typical style that fits right in with the rest of the surrounding buildings. Since then the building has served for business purposes; tt has been used as a plumbing and heating company and before that a blacksmith was situated there. The original name of the building `De Craecke` refers to a commercial shipping vessel that docked in the ports of Veere in the 19th century. This historic name has now been honourably restored to the building.

To make the accommodation of the bed and breakfast suitable to meet the highest standards that are required for modern guest rooms, the interior of the whole building had to be thoroughly restructured and redecorated. The whole building is equipped with new floors, all the walls have been isolated and a modern heating and air circulation system has been installed, and all water is heated with environmentally friendly solar energy. Furthermore, all rooms are equipped with modern and luxurious furniture and bathrooms. All this has the astonishing result that the building looks classy and authentic on the outside, and on the inside it has the charisma of a modern star-rated hotel. This charisma and the unique location is the reason a stay at De Craecke is considered a unique experience by our guests.
